Consulting Service for Creators, Nonprofits, and Conscious Businesses
You have a vision—you want to share your talent or help people in some special way. Or you’d like to ditch the rat race and forge your own path to sustainability. But you need a plan, a way forward. Then again, you may be already rolling, but you or your organization are struggling and not reaching your full potential. Whatever the case, Tamarack Song is willing to assist, and he has the skillset, resources, and track record to do so. But even more important, he can help you see that you’ve got what it takes.
Of course, you want to be successful, but if you’ve done any research at all, you know the odds are against you. Most creative people can’t support themselves by their talent alone, the structure of nonprofits has inherent glitches that cause the majority of them to barely hobble along, and only half of all startup businesses survive to reach the five-year mark.
Tamarack doesn’t know failure—what he does know is how to make things happen. The same is true for you, and he can guide you to discover that within yourself. But first, you need to know right off the top that he’s not going to do it the orthodox way. He knows from the inside out what works and what doesn’t—and he’s got tricks up his sleeve—to help you save yourself from the grief that you might otherwise experience, and to support you in fast-tracking yourself to success and fulfillment.
Qualifications
Tamarack’s educational background includes nonprofit development and organization, working with nonprofit executives and boards, community development, and human relations, along with work toward doctorates in trauma and nature-based healing protocols and delivery systems. He presents his research and experience in his numerous award-winning books. Further training in consulting, leadership, and fundraising came from the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives (NANOE), where he earned Certified Nonprofit Executive (CNE), Certified Development Executive (CDE), and Certified Nonprofit Consultant (CNC) credentialing. You can view his CV here.
Yet the real strength of what he has to offer comes from experience. He learned the core skills of compassionate leadership from living with a pack of Wolves when he was a young adult. Born with anything but a silver spoon in his mouth, he led a hardscrabble childhood and had to toil for everything he accomplished. He left his last regular job at age 21, when he took a vow of poverty and dedicated his life to service. During the next ten years, he founded two nonprofits and five alternative businesses to fund humanitarian, environmental, and social change causes. In that time, he transformed the $4000 he scratched together into $1,000,000 in assets.
Over the span of his fifty-five-year career (and counting!), he has founded or co-founded twenty-plus nonprofit, for-profit, environmental, and research organizations. Along with consulting, he is currently involved with several nonprofits and natural habitat restoration initiatives, and he offers workshops and trainings in the United States, Europe, and online.
Only Results Matter
You won’t hear much in the line of theory or clichés from Tamarack. His uncommon approach to facilitating your success is based solely on what gives results. He does make it fun, but there is no fluff—he combines extensive research and the experiences of many clients, along with his own, to help you pave the way to the deep satisfaction and security of realizing your dreams. Here are two examples of the revolutionary approach he uses to produce such a high success rate:
- Tough-minded consultants focus on structure and budget. Tamarack shows you how both end up being nothing but hindrances, and instead he works with you to develop a clear and strong vision. Once you have that, the details needed for manifesting that vision begin to appear—in a way that fits the vision, rather than trying to plug it into some generic fill-in-the-blank template.
- If you are going the nonprofit route, you are destined to be weighed down by an old, slow-grinding millstone around your neck—the industrial-model board of directors, which has been used for more than a century now by virtually all nonprofits. Tamarack shows you how to break the mold and join the revolution by establishing a highly functional vision-based board of trustees.
