Associate Healing Nature Guide (AHNG)
Degree Program 2024
Purpose: To certify Guides for healthcare professionals and private individuals using Healing Nature Trails or equivalents. “Our primary goal with this course,” says head instructor Tamarack Song, “is to give Guides the tools they need to help others breathe in Nature, both literally and metaphorically, so that they can discover their own natures. My personal goal is to help students find and highly regard their own unique approaches and abilities along with cultivating their own relationship to nature within and around themselves”
The Ideal Student has a deep love of Nature and a calling to serve. All applicants are considered on an equal basis, without preference or prejudice.
Course Topics:
— A working knowledge of Healing Nature Trail features.
— Client assessment skills.
— Communication and listening skills.
— Training in modalities and exercises practiced on a Trail walk.
— Outreach skills and techniques.
— Trail evaluation skills.
— Unique personal qualities development.
The course includes study of presented materials; mentoring by an experienced Trail Guide; awareness, sensitizing, and grounding skills workshops; supervised Trail guiding; Therapeutic Breathwork training; and self, peer, and mentor evaluations. For a full course description, click here.
