Healing Nature Center is a subsidiary of Teaching Drum Outdoor School, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization.

    Healing Nature Center 90-Day Fundraiser

    Fundraiser Goal: $66,000

    NEEDS:

    $12,000 for completion of the Healing Nature Trail: signage, wheelchair accessibility, reflection nooks, trailside benches, aquatic labyrinth, pond restoration.

    $15,000 for a Center service vehicle, used to transport clients, therapists, and workshop participants to and from the airport, and to procure supplies.

    $36,000 for renovating the welcoming center, workshop space, and staff living facilities in the Healing Nature Center building.

    $3,000 for renovating the Hermitage, a small log cabin designated for future use for solo retreats.

    $25 – A copy of the Healing Nature Trail Sourcebook.
    $100 – A copy of Becoming Nature or audio download of Lang Elliot’s Wild Sounds of the Northwoods.

    $500 – A one-year pass to the Healing Nature Trail.
    $1000 – Finger labyrinth: choose from four classic designs.

    Memorial/Dedication Plaques
    All donors of $1000 or more are recognized with a brass nameplate on a permanent birchwood plaque in the Welcoming Center.

    Donors of $5000 or more are specially recognized on the plaque.

    $500 for a plaque on a Trail Bench or Bicycle Rack.
    $750 for a plaque on a Stump Labyrinth.
    $1000 for a plaque on a Pollinator Wildflower Bed.
    $2000 for a plaque on the Hermitage Cabin.
    $3000 for a plaque on the Zen Untangle.
    $4000 for a plaque on the Welcoming Center.
    $5000 for a plaque on the Trance Dance Studio.
    $7500 for a plaque on the Cosmorinth.
    $10,000 for a plaque on the Gateway Labyrinth.
    $15,000 for a plaque on the Threshold Bridge.

     

    Legacy Fund

    The ability of the Healing Nature Center to continue its healing mission well into the future is secured by sustaining contributions from individuals, families, trust funds, bequethals, and organizations. 

    • A $25,000 bequest will be honored by a Board of Directors proclamation to install a commemorative sign at the head of the Healing Nature Trail, dedicating it to the memory of whomever the bequester desires.
    • A $50,000 bequest will be honored by a Board proclamation to mount a commemorative tile beside the door of the Healing Nature Center, dedicating it to the memory of whomever the bequester desires.
    • A $100,000 bequest will be honored by a Board proclamation to mount a commemorative tile beside the door of the Giant Pine Meeting Lodge, dedicating it to the memory of whomever the bequester desires.
